Truss Form is an official ‘Service Partner’ of iLevel™ Trus Joist®, the manufacturer of the highly acclaimed TJI® engineered timber I joist and other engineered timber structural products. TJI® joists are widely used throughout the country by national housebuilders, regional builders and self builders. As with its trussed rafters, Truss Form offers a cost-effective design and supply service on floors, with a two week delivery from receipt of order.
Truss Form not only supplies TJI® joists, but Parallam® PSL and TimberStrand® LSL. TJI® joists reduce the problems associated with shrinking, cupping, bowing, twisting and splitting common with sawn joists. Parallam® PSL offers a high-strength engineered timber product, bringing together both uniformity and consistency in a wide variety of sizes and lengths. TimberStrand® LSL is precision-cut into standard section components including short and intermediate span beams, lintels, purlins and rim boards.
Whatever size company you are part of, be it a large main contracting company or a sole trader, the new Part L Building Regs affect you. Since air leakage is a major cause of failure to comply, iLevel™ Trus Joist®’s new Energy Stop product is a useful tool in the battle to ensure compliance. The Energy Stop is an easier to use option than masonry hangars. Designed for use in conjunction with the TJI® joist, the Energy Stop utilises a foam section at the end of the joist as an efficient means of helping to prevent air leakage when installed correctly.
The Total Solution
Environmental Credentials
iLevel™ Trus Joist® sources timber only from well managed forests in North America. All TJI® joists available in the UK are manufactured from wood fibre sourced from forests certified by the SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative).
It is also fully recognised in the BRE’s EcoHomes process, with equivalent rating to other certification schemes. The SFI Certification scheme has been fully recognised by PEFC, the programme for the endorsement of forest certification schemes, which means that TJI® joists can be used where PEFC material is specified.
